Sir Hugh Casson (1910-1999) enjoyed designing sets for the theatre and had a long and celebrated career with Glyndebourne. In addition to designing three productions, Casson served as advisor to the art programme in the 1980s and 1990s, designed two Festival Programme Book Covers and created a number of limited edition prints based on the operas and gardens.

This print is taken from for the John Cox production of 'La fedeltà premiata', designed by Casson in 1979.
