Klimt Turquoise Satin Silk Poshminia Scarf
The 'Klimt Turquoise' poshminaTM stole, made from satin silk, is inspired by the pattern that adorns the gown worn by the central female figure in the work Hope II (1907 - 08) by the Austrian artist Gustav Klimt (1862-1918). The painting sees a figure looking down towards her enlarged belly where a skull can be seen amongst the fabric. Toward the bottom of the image three more females figures are presented with their faces also downturned, perhaps in prayer or mourning.
The original polka dot pattern has been transposed from the source painting to a bright alternative turquoise version and printed on a glossy satin silk. A brushed silk lining on the reverse offers the feel of cashmere. Each scarf is individually hand finished.
100% satin silk with a brushed silk lining.
