Made in Britain
French artist Robert Delaunay (1885-1941) created his own art movement, orphism, based on bright geometric designs.
This design is inspired by Delaunay's Hommage à Blériot, the first aviator to fly over the English Channel. The circles in the image represent the moving blades of an aircraft propeller.
