These stunning silver cufflinks feature sea blue chalcedony quartz stones, resembling little rock pools.
Each piece is unique and handmade in The Workshop Lewes’, East Sussex, by Contemporary Jewellery Designer Neil McLaren. Neil creates contemporary pieces of jewellery which are bold and robust, and defined by their shapes, texture and simplicity.
Material: 100% recycled sterling silver and ethically sourced blue chalcedony stones.
As well as contemporary jewellery designer, Neil McLaren is also a musician and first played the flute at Glyndebourne in 1989 with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, in performances of The Marriage of Figaro, conducted by Sir Simon Rattle. Neil has performed at Glyndebourne almost every year since then.
Neil McLaren has been commissioned to design and make a set of unique jewellery pieces inspired by the six opera's on stage at Glyndebourne Festival 2023 and the commission includes necklaces, earrings, bracelets and cufflinks. The stories of the operas, as well as the stage designs, will influence Neil's unique creations.
