As recommended by the Glyndebourne Gardeners, Niwaki Mainichi Secateurs are Japanese pruners for everyday general pruning in the garden.
They are standard issue in Japan, where these are considered the everyday, go-to choice for pruning. The big chunky catch at the bottom has a crisp action that is easy to use, even with cold wet hands or muddy gloves and the spring is well secured and never accidentally pops out.
As with all Japanese secateurs, these have a simple direct action, resulting in a very clean, efficient cut.
They are finished with a yellow grip which helps stand out in a busy garden environment.
