About The Artist

Grayson Perry

Grayson Perry CBE RA is an English contemporary artist and cultural icon, widely known for his observations of the contemporary arts scene, and for dissecting British culture. Grayson’s interpretation of a ‘Glyndebourne Opera Season’ was uniquely designed for Glyndebourne and now also features on several products. Perry often works in intricate yet bold colours, depicting subjects at odds with the attractive appearance of his pieces. There is a strong autobiographical element in his work, in which images of Perry as "Claire", his female alter-ego, often appear. His work is held in famous collections all over the world.
