Our response to COVID-19

Though COVID-19 has forced Glyndebourne to cancel Festival 2020 performances, the Glyndebourne Shop remains open online. We’ll continue to take orders, however your health and wellbeing, and that of our staff, is of course our highest priority. We are continually updating our processes and procedures in line with the latest advice from Public Health England and have a series of extra measures in place to protect everyone’s safety, including:

To reduce the risk to employees who may still visit our site to dispatch orders, there is access to hand sanitisers, increased cleaning and rigorously enforced social distancing measures.

Our courier, DHL, have put into place extra hygiene precautions to ensure everyone's wellbeing. Safe deliveries to homes are essential during this period, and DHL take this responsibility extremely seriously. During these particularly challenging times, the well-being of customers, people and communities is of paramount importance. ‘Accepted at Delivery Point’ is now DHL’s standard offering to minimise physical contact between drivers and members of the public.

On arrival at the delivery address, DHL drivers will knock or ring the bell and will then step away to a safe distance. The driver will ask for the customer’s name, record ‘Accepted at Delivery Point’ into their scanner and take a photo of the premises confirming delivery.
