Glyndebourne Archive Photography by Guy Gravett
Newly released archive photography from Guy Gravett
Photographer Guy Gravett originally worked from his studio in Lewes, creating portraits and working at the Theatre Royal in Brighton. He photographed the young Christie children, Rosamond and George, in 1947 - the relationship grew, and Guy went on to become Glyndebourne's commissioned photographer, covering every season from 1951 until his death in 1996. Busy both on-and off-stage, Guy's collection documents every aspect of life at the summer opera festival, and subsequent tour, and forms a vital part of the company's archive.
