Carina Ciscato

Carina Ciscato is a Brazilian-born ceramicist who moved to the UK in 1999. She initially studied Industrial Design in Sao Paulo, before being introduced to studio pottery in Germany under Marietta Cremer. Ciscato went on to be an apprentice for leading Brazilian potter, Lucia Ramenzoni, showing her work in local galleries and museum shops. Following her move to London, Ciscato was a studio assistant to Julian Stair and Edmund de Waal. She established her own studio in 2004. Ciscato has exhibited widely both in the UK and internationally, including group shows at Gallery Besson, Craft Council, Yorkshire Sculpture Park and the Royal College of Art. Her work is also held in numerous private and public collections, including the Devonshire Collection at Chatsworth and the V&A.
